On Monday 12 January 2015, about 500 pilgrims from all over the world gathered at Kibeho to celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to Nathalie Mukamazimpaka. She is the only visionary who, following the request of the Mother of God, still lives at Kibeho. She is involving in the day to day activities of the Sanctuary.

The ceremonies began at 10:00 am with the recitation of the Rosary on the joyful mysteries, praying for all the families around the world. At the same time, the pilgrims received the sacrament of reconciliation.

The Eucharistic celebration which crowned the occasion began at 11:00 am presided over by Bishop Kizito Bahujimihigo, Bishop Emeritus of Kibungo. His homily was centred on the apparitions of the Mother of God to Nathalie. He reminded those present and all following on Radio Maria Rwanda that the apparitions of the Virgin Mary to an individual person is a concern to us all. Hence, we are all invited to renew our relationship with the Mother of the Word. The message that Mother Mary left to us at Kibeho is ever valid. The Bishop emphasized the emergence of the 22nd November 1982, when Nathalie received the mission to go outside at night and pray with a warning that she would meet a terrifying animal. For Bishop Kizito, this mission represents a perpetual struggle against the devil that every Christian undergoes in his or her earthly pilgrimage.

So, please let us continue to support Nathalie through our prayers, so that she may remain committed to the mission entrusted to her during the apparitions of the Mother of the Word at Kibeho.
